Morgan Horse is historically the official horse breed of United States. The Morgan Horse was the first documented American breed which began firstly with stallion by the name of Justin Morgan. In 1789, Vermont foaled at Randolph who was originally the name figure. However, he was given the name of his owner after he passed away, Justin Morgan who was a music composer and a teacher. Robert Evans discovered that this little horse, Morgan, at 14 hands out-run and out-hauls all the challengers. Looking at the ability of the horse, Justin Morgan used the horse for clearing logs, hauling freight, plowing, and drafting various types of work. Justin Morgan, throughout his life competed in every kind of racing also the hauling contest. No one could beat him at the contests. The word Palomino comes from a Spanish surname. The color of Palomino comes in all breeds. So, some people think that Palomino is a color and not a breed. Palomino during the Spanish times was very close to being a breed as any other strain of horse. Dorado was Arabic-Spanish-Moorish blood and breeding similar to the Moorish Barb also Arabian. Palomino is a multipurpose horse. This breed of horse is popular for its beauty, maneuverability, adaptability, also the endurance.
Mustangs do not have a specific conformation and their sizes could range from 13 to 16 hands, although 14 hands on average. The colorings of palomino, appaloosa, buckskin, and black have sustained over the years. The built and shapes of this breed vary as they have been bred in the wild. During the early colonial days, the horses escaped from their owners or some owners set them free purposefully to let them find for themselves the ranchers set the horses free in winter and recaptured them back in the spring. Some other ranchers attempted in improving the horses by killing the dominant horse from the local mustang herds and replacing it by males with a pedigree.
